Red garments, on the other hand, indicate a high level of physical energy. People who wear red like to take life at a fast pace. Brown is the color of wealth, and it shows a need for indep endence and material security. Wearers of green have a love of nature and enjoy peaceful moments. Th ey often like to be left alone with their thoughts. Although colorogenic may be a recent area of study, a ssociating colors with emotions is not new. Colors have always been used to describe not only our feeli ngs but also our physical health and attudes. Roger Sperry and Robert Einstein of the California Institute of Technology won a Nobel Prize in 1 972. They discovered that the human brain has two sides, and each side has different

Usual education in schools encourages us to use the left side of our brains. Language, number, ana lysis and reason are given more importance in our schools than imagination and daydreaming.

For many people today, reading is no longer relaxation. To keep up their work they must read letters, reports, trade publications, interoffice communications, not to mention newspapers and ma gazines: a never-ending flood of words. In getting a job or advancing in one, the ability to read and co

unfortunate fact is that most of us are poor readers. Most of us develop poor reading habits at an early a ge, and never get over them. The main problem lies in language itself- -words. He reads one word at a time, often regressing to reread words or passages. Regression, or looking back over what you have just read, is a common bad habit in reading. Another habit which slows down the speed of reading is vocalization- -sounding each word ei ther orally or mentally as one reads.
To overcome these bad habits, some reading clinics use a device called accelerator ( 加速器), which moves a bar down the page at a predetermined speed. The bar is set at a slightly faster rate t han the reader finds comfortable, in order to stretch" him. The accelerator forces the reader to read fast, making word-by-word reading, regression and vocalization virtually impossible. At first, comprehensi on is sacrificed for speed. Passage Four
When the dog named Judy saw the first sheep in her life, she did what came naturally.
